Training
Running Group Leaders are willing to share their experience and enjoyment of the sport with members. Participation in this group however is entirely at your own risk and members should consult their doctor if suffering from any condition that might make running injurious to their health.

When Do We Run
We meet twice a week on a Wednesday and Sundays to run, chat and plan running (and social!) events.
  • Wednesday 7pm – Meet at the car park in front of Friars School in Bangor (see link to map on training locations)
  • Sunday 9am – Park in the lane opposite the Treborth Business Park and walk up to Treborth track.  Sunday sessions are sometimes a social run, details of which posted on the Betsi Runaways Facebook page
  • Friday – Variable, arranged on a weekly basis
Those following a training plan for a race, generally meet up with other club members on a Sunday morning for that longer run.

Where do we run
Running routes vary but are tailored to suit all ability of runners. Routes are generally around Bangor, Menai Bridge and Llanfairpg.  There aren’t changing facilities or toilets so it is better to change before arriving.

Running Distances
Distances depend on who and how many turn up, the time of year and weather conditions, but there will always be someone to run with.

Training Plans
Training plans will be tailored to your level of fitness and goals. A beginners 8 week 5K training plan can be found here
